Celtic Astrology April 15-May 12 & Full Moon Bathing Recipe!

April 15 - May 12

Your Tree is the Willow, your Drive Animal is the Hare (rabbit), your Ruling deity is the Celtic Moon Goddess Cerridwen (I’m so jealous), your planetary Ruler is the Moon, ( again very jealous), your word is Sail.

The Celts believed that the Universe was hatched from two crimson serpent eggs that were hidden in the boughs of the Willow tree.
As a Willow person you can conjure memories that others have long forgotten. Your tongue might as well be made of silver because you always know the right way of saying what needs to be said. Your will is strong and you have an uncanny knack for finding resources and solutions. In business you are practical and shrewd.

The combination of your striking business savvy and quick emotional-spun mood swings creates an inscrutable mystery about you. You have the makings of a brilliant inventor.

The Hare’s influence drives you to adapt to any situation and lends you a remarkable inner voice. You must not second guess your intuition, doing so will bring inner turmoil and as a result you’ll find it impossible to even be able to decide what flavor of ice cream you want!

Cerridwen is the Celtic Goddess of herbs, divination, education, the arts, knowledge, creativity, agriculture and magic. She holds the keys of life and death and therefore is both beautiful and terrifying. She is also known as Caridwen, The White Lady of Inspiration and Death, The Grain Goddess, The White Sow, The Dark Mother, Queen of the Underworld, and The Death Mother. Welsh bards would call themselves Cerddorion (sons of Cerridwen)  in order to gain the favor of her blessings and channel her wisdom. She is often depicted with a cauldron in which she makes a special potion called Greal. It was believed that drinking the potion would bring knowledge and inspiration. For more information on this Goddess go Here.

As a daughter or son of the Moon you can harvest wisdom from the earth’s magic. When you are feeling disconnected  you can become rebalanced by spending some time out in the open air and breathing in the wonders of the earth.

You have an easier time of recreating yourself and transforming the world around you than people not born under this sign. You gain strength from being among nature and prolonged periods without it can stifle your inner peace, creativity and trust in yourself.

Because Moon people benefit from ritual you will find that following a routine is calming and grounding. One such ritual is Full Moon Bathing. Once each month when the Moon is full our bodies are more absorbent.

A soak under the full moon in the following bath can bring benefits throughout the month.

Moon Bath

Add 1 cup of mineral rich Himalayan salt to a warm to hot bath, whichever you prefer.
Using only 100% essential Oil add the following to the waters before you enter, ( I use the NOW brand not only because it is the least expensive, but because it is the most potent that I’ve found.)
5 drops Lavender
5 drops Ylang Ylang
5 drops Sandalwood or Bergamot

Inhale the scents and reflect on the desires of your soul. Push unwanted or stressful thoughts with a visualization of white-blue light absorbing them and carrying them far away to the Moon where they can be transformed into positive energy.

If your aim is to detox or if you would like a more lengthy explanation of the benefits of Himalayan salt Here is a link to a site with an alternate Moon Bathing Recipe and a fun informational on this miracle salt.
